Help Us to Raise $7500 for the Childhood Cancer Association

Every week, a child in South
Australia or the Northern
Territory is diagnosed
with cancer.

That’s devastating news for everyone.

But while families can rely on outstanding medical treatment, the critical support services they need aren’t provided by either state or federal government.

The Childhood Cancer Association provides practical, hands-on support to children with cancer, and their families.

We do this without a dollar of ongoing public funding.

Will you help us support children with cancer, and their families?”

Raising funds in one way we can help.

Last week I was shocked to hear about a nine year old at my daughter’s school whose family is struggling with a new diagnosis and heavy going treatment. Her outlook is uncertain and she may not return to school.

I can’t imagine how difficult and challenging this must be for her family.

The Childhood Cancer Association provides practical, hands-on support to children with cancer, and their families. Raising money is one way we can help.

What's "Families on the Couch"?

I’m planning an exhibition for 2019 featuring 100 South Australian families.

Why? I adore photographing families.

Composing families for portraits takes a special skill, similar to conducting an orchestra! Your eyes have to see everything at once.

What could be more appealing for you, a busy Mum, than coming to the studio to …. hang out on the couch!

Come, sit, relax, set your family free, and I’ll take care of the rest.

Have you been meaning to update your family photos?

Are you a family with two or more people (and/or pets), living in Adelaide?

Are you amazed at how quickly your children are growing up? Are you always busy juggling work commitments / childrens sporting activities / family gatherings / life in general?

Do you wish you could have some incredible family portraits but it’s just too hard?

Like you, I’m a busy Mum with children, and understand how quickly time flies when you’re busy planning stuff and well, life happens! It’s hard to find the time to organise everyone for a family portrait, and you might be worried about it being stressful.

I’m Deb and I’ve been creating portraits for families for six years. You can find me working from my tranquil Blackwood studio on Main Rd.

As a previous teacher, I’m experienced working with children of all ages, including teens!

Here's what previous clients are saying about working with Deb:

I love the photos you did for my family Deb!

Just wanted to share the great experience myself and my daughter had at Deb Smith Photography. I'm more of a behind the camera kind of person and was a bit nervous but I can highly recommend this experience. Deb made us feel really comfortable and the studio has a great relaxed feel to it. We were blown away when we went back a few days later to see the photos. They were amazing, so many fantastic images. Big thanks to Deb and the team for the super spoiling.
